I’ve been designing and building Wax from scratch as a solo project for more than three years.
I’m excited about where Wax can go from here, but I can’t get it there alone. My goal is to build a sustainable company around Wax, and its next stage depends on real world use and outside financial support. I’m looking for people and organizations that want to apply it to a concrete problem, sponsor the development needed there, or invest in its future. I’m also open to the right business cofounder.
I’m not currently hiring or looking for technical or design collaborators, volunteers, or open source help. If Wax could help with a problem you’re working on, or if you want to support its development, I would love to hear from you!
Wax may be a fit if your team is dealing with software that is difficult to reproduce, inspect, or reason about over time. If that sounds relevant, we can start with a focused pilot around one part of your system and determine what Wax would need to be useful there.
Support does not need to begin with a deployment. An organization can sponsor a specific area of Wax development or fund a period of work that moves Wax forward.
I’m open to investors who see a business in deterministic, inspectable software and understand that foundational technology takes time to build well.
I’m open to a cofounder who can take the lead on the business side of Wax, especially finding customers and building a path to market. I’m not looking for another engineer or designer.
I’m also available for selected contract work, with or without Wax. I can own a focused problem, work with an existing team, or take an advisory or project lead role.
That work gives me room to continue developing Wax while I pursue the longer term support it needs. My background spans performance and concurrency, systems with real time constraints, 3D graphics and UI, games and developer tools, compilers, legacy modernization, and complex software architecture.
